例えば、インドでは、サムスンのテレビの右隅には、どのチャンネルにしてもクリケットのスコアが表示されるようになっていた。クリケットはインドの国技であり、インド人はテレビでクリケットを見るのが大好きである。ところが、競技時間が6～8時間と長い。それで、ちょっと隣のチャンネルを見てみたい。だけどクリケットのスコアも気になる・・・、というインド人の要望に応えたのがサムスンのテレビだ。これで日本製の半額である。

　また、インドの冷蔵庫には鍵と瞬停用のバッテリーがついていた。泥棒の多いインドでは冷蔵庫にも鍵が必要なのだ。さらに、停電が多いため、数時間程度だったら、内蔵したバッテリーが機能する仕組みを韓国製の冷蔵庫は備えていた。それで、日本製の半額である。日本製はまったく売れていなかった。
